It is pretty close I think but there are some odd things I haven't got right yet.

SO I am using it's custom text output to create a UIEE file.

#IMPORT FILE FORMATS BOOKPEDIA MAC#

Hi allAnother reason I am using UIEE is that I have my inventory in a very nice book focussed database application on my Apple Mac called Bookpedia ( Whilst this app is very good and easy to use and seems to do just about everything I could need it does not export to a spreadsheet. If you have any further ideas I would really appreciate your help. Especially as they have rejected my uploads because they are not correct. I realise that UIEE is a 'standard' but if Alibris are going to claim they support it and then add their own 'flavours' of tags they really should have some form of documentation to support it. The file I got back looked pretty familiar with the common tags but also had a bunch of tags that are not defined in the UIEE.Com information either. But I can't find any information anywhere about what UIEE tag to use for this and what data to put in it (I assume it is A, C or D but not sure).Īlso, to try and get a bit further I added an item manually then asked for an export of my inventory from Alibris in UIEE format. In the spreadsheet template the Status tag is just called 'Status' and can be A=Add, C=Change or D=Delete. All the standard field codes are there(TI, AA etc) but Alibris seems to use some codes that are not in this definition and they don't seem to have any documentation anywhere to describe what they are for and what data should go in them.įor example, I have tried a file and had it rejected because I did not include a status tag in each record. I have been using the Table information on the site you suggest to create the UIEE file I have so far.
